The craft of writing can be learnt and practiced through many different mediums. We can receive inspiration from a number of things. For instance, you could write about a favourite photograph, a picture you have hanging on your wall, a painting.

Your journey to work on the bus or train can be used too, here, you could be getting ideas for characters to be used in your stories by writing descriptions of people, their mannerisms and perculiarities you notice travelling with you in your notebook, even going so far as to add imaginary details and making them ‘funny’ characters etc.

Subconscious writing is another way to get things flowing. Take three words, such as bee, flowers and honey and begin writing (don’t edit anything yet), just write whatever comes to mind, you’ll often find the beginning of or even a complete story will come out of it and will require a little editing, you may even end up with a children’s storybook!

There is really no end of supply for generating ideas, plots, etc. The local newspaper for instance, could again supply inspiration for books/stories on the more deeper/darker side of life such as thrillers/murders/etc.

Why, even going out to dinner, could inspire you to become a ‘food critic/reviewer’, or write articles on the best restaurants in town.

Choose one or a few areas that appeal to you and just begin! Who knows there could be one of many great articles, stories, poems or books hidden inside of you, just waiting for you to try.

Most people who aspire to be writers write because they have to write, this is the source of their happiness and self-expression, just like painters have to paint etc.

Their are also many great ‘writing site’s’ on the net that will help you with writing prompts and ideas, my favourite one is Soul Food Cafe here, you can join a group of writers and artists that love their creative time and are very helpful, supportive, encouraging and non judgemental, who will provide the inspiration and at times challenges (totally optional) to keep you heading towards your dream of writing.

Oh, packing! How I hate packing! I never know what to take, especially in the way of clothes.

Firstly, I’ll be travelling far and wide, so I had best take my herbs, oils, potions and salves.

Glace Ginger pieces and Ginger Travel Sickness Tablets for any digestive troubles encountered. Nor must I forget Charcoal Tablets and Cloves.

I’ll take most of my oils. There many applications will certainly make my travels more relaxing and therapeutic.

My herbal soaps, creams, lotions must find a place in my bags, along with my potions, tinctures and salves.

Now thats the medicinal, therapeutic, relaxing and hygiene side of things taken care of.

A few basics for each season is what I now pack in the clothing department. I can always purchase anything else I need or want. Returning home with new clothing from some or all of my destinations will certainly get the fashion gossips tongues wagging.

My writing journal, letter writing set, sketching pad, pens, pencils and colours are a must!

My crystal jewelry and crystal must come along too.

Morgaine’s Surprise.

A donkey, hhmm, at Camelot we ride horses, donkey’s cannot be that different, can they? Well, if I am to begin this journey I guess I had better get moving.

I decided to befriend the donkey allocated to me and grabbed a handful of grass with dandeloins mixed in, I offered it to him and watched him eat as I stroked his maine. ‘I shall call you, Gallahad and we shall be trusting companions upon this journey’.

‘Thank you, Morgaine, I shall enjoy your companionship and care but please don’t think less of me because I am a donkey and not a horse’. Morgaine nearly fell over with shock – a donkey that can not only talk but hear her thoughts too!

‘Oh no, Gallahad, I do not think less of you! You’re obviously a sensitive donkey and you, you can talk and read my thoughts! How can this be? Oh, but I am glad Gallahad, now the journey will not be so lonely, it’s nice to have someone to talk too’.

‘It is good, Morgaine, that we have sorted this matter out, the journey is long and far, so to attempt it feeling inferior in any way is not good for you or me. You are not alone Morgaine, we are together and you shall meet many traveler’s along the way’.

‘Do you know where we are going, Gallahad? What is our route, our first stop’? ‘I believe it is the Gypsy Camp, there is a wake there for Megan’s mother. Now get some sleep, we shall begin at dawn’.

With that Morgaine pulled her warm cloak from her bag and laid down to sleep upon the soft green grass. She was soo tired and excited at the same time. ‘Goodnight Gallahad’. ‘Goodnight Morgaine’.

Welcome Morgaine: I think you will find that your donkey is very special indeed. Do remember that you have his magic wings (Let him tell you where he finds them most comfortable.)

On my many journeys I have travelled many roads.

On one particular day, I was walking down a country lane going nowhere in particular, just out to enjoy the day.

As I turned a bend I saw a lady dressed in beautiful clothes of purple. I smiled and said ‘lovely day, isn’t it’? She smiled back and came towards me. ‘Yes dear, it is a lovely day, a lovely day for you to begin your journey’. ‘My journey’? I enquired. ‘Yes, dear, your journey to Leumaria, here take this’.

She handed me a bag. ‘In the bag you will find talismans for your journey. A packet of dream seeds, some spectacles, a candlestick, a tiny anchor, a medallion with an imprint of a unicorn, set of wings and something only for you, which you will discover later’.

A little shocked and not seeming to want to sound ungrateful I thanked her and enquired as to why should I take this journey? ‘It is for the best that you go dear, you need to take this journey, do not worry about things or people left behind that you should see or should do, there are no shoulds in Leumaria and there is no time, so no one will miss you or even know you have gone. Now it’s time to leave, what you need shall be provided, do not worry’.

Now intrigued and not having much to stay behind for, I decided take this journey and see where it would take me. She ushered me to a path through the forest I heard water and then suddenly in front of me was a beautiful pool, surrounded with rocks, ferns and trees with a small waterfall.

‘You must cleanse yourself first, remove your clothing and swim in the magical pool, then stand under the waterfall when you are ready – it will renew your spirit, cleanse your soul and energies and prepare you for your journey.’

Feeling a little embarrassed, I did as instructed and stepped into the pool. It wasn’t cold but cooly inviting. I began to swim around the pool and under the water. In the waters depths beneath the surface I saw lights of different colours, then one came close to my eyes and I could see it wasn’t just a light but a coloured fairy!

I smiled at the fairy and then my eyes were opened, all the lights were fairies! They surrounded me and one by one touched me, as they did I felt more relaxed and calm and then I telepathically heard them say in unison – breathe – we have given you the gift to breathe underwater.

I was surrounded with such love and peace that I did not doubt there words at all and began to breathe under the water, somehow, the drawing in and out of this water added to my bliss and tranquility. I felt like I was being washed inside. The thought ‘Rivers of Living Water’, entered my head and I smiled now understanding it’s meaning.

The fairies and I happily swam around for what seemed like a long time, sharing the secrets of their magic pool. I was feeling young and carefree, peaceful and calm, energised and loved.

Suddenly, they all swarmed around me again and led me to a rock, in my mind I heard them say, it is time for the waterfall, you must leave us now. I was a little sad but did as I was bidden. I pulled myself up onto the rock and stepped under the waterfall, it’s white waters caressing my skin, invigorating my body.

As I stood there the water seemed to talking to me through the bubbles flowing over me. ‘Now you are purified, leave the cares of this world in these waters, for your journey is about to begin, these feelings you have experienced are now inside you, you can feel them any time in the future from this moment forth, now go to the lady, who is called Enchanteur, she will guide you from here.

I stepped out of the waterfall, across the rocks and made my way back to Enchanteur. Before I had reached her I was dry! ‘So you’re name is Enchanteur, it is fitting for you’, I said as I quickly dressed. ‘Yes dear, it is and thank you, I hope you enjoyed your magical dip and shower, now we must go’.

She led me away from the pool, to the rear. There was another path, I followed quietly taking in everything that had just happenned. Suddenly Enchanteur stopped. There in front of us was a lavender mist shaped like an arched doorway. Enchanteur turned to me and said, ‘through this portal is your beginning, you must step through the mist, do not fear, I shall be seeing you again shortly and watching over your travels’.

I looked into her eyes and went to say thank you Enchanteur but her thoughts interrupted me. All is well, dear, I shall see you soon, go now, she communicated to me as she handed me my bag.

I stepped into the mist feeling it’s dampness on my skin, I also felt enveloped in serenity and love, I kept walking and saw the light of day a few steps ahead.

Along with the two extra ear charkra’s at each side of the cross (either side of the third eye charkra) it shows our seven charkra’s.

Monday, December 09, 2002

Subject: Moonlight Water Garden

She was awed at the sight of his magnificance – and a little embarassed about her ‘fretting’ earlier. Hesitantly, she spoke, ‘my name is Angelene, I’ve been watching you for a few months now – but I guess you know all of that’.

A smile seemed to be upon his face, a kind, wise smile. ‘Yes Angelene – I knew all of that’. Angelene was taken aback, startled – as she realised, the unicorn had spoken to her. ‘You spoke, you know how to talk’! ‘Yes, my child, I know how to speak your language and every other language in the entire universe. I can communicate with humans, animals, insects, birds, fish, frogs – anything, it is another gift I possess which enable me to help all living things’.

‘So why did you choose to show yourself to me, what is it you want’? The unicorn looked at her with such a great love, she thought her heart would melt. ‘It is not I who is wanting, my child, it is you. I am sent to bring you back to life, to inspire you to greater things’. ‘But I am alive’, she said, ‘what do you mean’?

‘Angelene, you are alive, but not fully alive, you’ve forgotten the joy, the magic of life. Your faith in life, in yourself, in magic, miracles and love has all but shrivelled to the size of a mustard seed. That’s why this whole place was created for you, that’s why I am here, to water and nuture that seed and make it grow, so you can become what you are meant to be and do what you are meant to do’.

Angelene was silent as multitudes of thoughts ran through her mind, could she ever regain the simple faith she had as a child? Could she ever feel the same joy for living? Could she ever trust anyone or anything again? What was she meant to be and do? Her thoughts were interupted by a stronger presence in her mind. The unicorn was speaking to her again.

‘Angelene, your 1st lesson is faith, I reminded you of it and you responded. You waited for me, you believed I existed and believed I would return. A child shows such natural faith in everything. As humans grow into adults, everyday living, stress, worry, pain, hurt and heartache, slowly chips away their childlike faith until it seems there is none left, it is at these times they need something to cling to, something to believe in’.

‘How can someone still have faith if they dont feel it’? Said Angelene. ‘That answer can be long and complex but simply stated, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen’. Let me put it this way, last night when you retired, did you go through a long process of convincing yurself to wake up this morning’? ‘No’, said Angelene, ‘I didn’t even think about it’. ‘Did you worry about whether you would continue to breathe during your sleep? When you reach to pick up an object, do you have to tell yourself to move your arms, legs, hands, fingers’? ‘No’, said Angelene, ‘but these are all just natural things, parts of our makeup and mobility – and besides – some people die during their sleep’. ‘Yes, my child, some people do pass on during their sleep, I however, believe they go to sleep in this world and wake up in another’.

‘You see, Angelene, it’s all a matter of faith, have we proven to ourself that the world is round? That there are other planets and an entire universe out there? How do you know I’m not just a figment of your imagination, as others would tell you? Do fairies exist? Can humans communicate with animals?

It’s a beautiful, mystical world Angelene, whatever the mind can conceive and believe, can be acheived. Our ‘senses’ go beyond the physical realm into the great unknown, as does our mind, as does our faith and this faith goes hand in hand with trust – which is lesson number two.

Trust is an extension of faith. Trust is a strong belief in someone or something. Trust is believing we’ll continue breathing as we sleep, that when we wish to pick up a pen, we can. Trust is relying on someone to do as they say, to be what they portray. Both faith and trust can be manipulated, used and abused – so people can and do get hurt – but if applied to ourselves they can bring about enormous change and good.

Our faith and trust must be in the magic of creation, the belief that all things are possible, in ourselves and our dreams, the mysteries of the universe and its natural and supernatural laws.
These are the things we can trust and have faith in Angelene, then we can apply them to ourselves and then go on to help others learn these truths. This is what you have been chosen for Angelene, to help me share these secrets to those who have little faith. This can be a hard task, so there must be no doubt in your heart, go home, think about what I have said, come again tommorrow night and let me know your answer, it is a choice, Angelene – and only you can choose’.

With that he was gone, vanished into the mist rising from the water. ‘Where did you go, unicorn’?, she said, as she looked into the mist. She heard in her mind, a soft, gentle voice saying, ‘go home, daughter of the universe, go home’.

Angelene turned to face the winding path she knew would lead her home and as she did she suddenly saw tiny fairies hovering just ahead. ‘Follow us, child, we shall lead you home’. They flew on ahead, so all she could do was follow. ‘Wait’, she cried out, as they turned along the winding path. ‘Wait for me’.

The end of the path came too quickly. When she thought she was just about to reach them, the fairies dissappeared. In front of her was her home, she knew there was nothing else to do but go inside and think about all she had heard and learnt.

She had a decision to make, was it all in her mind? Angelene went inside and made herself some warm milk, she climbed the stairs to her room realising she was too tired to think about all this tonight, so she decided she would think about it tommorrow and get some sleep.

The moon was bright and full. Excitedly, she ran down the winding path, heading to the secret water garden she had found a few months ago. ‘I wonder if I’ll see him tonight, I wonder if he’ll come’… The path widened and there before her was the magical hideaway.

The fountain spurted water up to the full, white moon, which in return, shone through the water, giving it the appearance of a beautiful, crystal spring. She was elated by it’s mystical serenity, she looked quickly to the other side of the water garden but he was not there, she decided to wait, as she had before, she sat upon the smooth, grassy bank – ‘he had to return’ – she thought to herself, ‘why would he have bothered to show himself previously, if he wasn’t going to come again and show her what he wanted from her?’

There she sat by the waters edge, in the light of the full moon, quietly watching, quietly waiting, quietly hoping he would come. She heard the familiar sound, she smiled and looked lovingly, expectantly, to the other side of the moonlit pool. She saw his magical form approach the waters edge. Slowly, cautiously, he drank from the mystical waters.

The whiteness of his skins shimmering reflection dazzled her loving gaze, she squinted as her eyes adjusted. She knew he would come, she knew he would not fail to prove his existance, his loyalty, his faithfulness, once again. His strong, muscled form showed his prepardness for any situation – oh how she loved him…

In that instant, he lifted his head and looked across the water into her eyes – as if he had heard her thoughts – which of course, he had, for he is a creature of great mystical insight and capabilities, such as the telepathic ability to communicate with those he deemed worthy of his wisdom.

A feeling of great love and peace washed over her as he gazed into her eyes. She knew he was about to tell her something, she hushed her excitement so she could absorb his gentle, soothing thoughts. ‘Greetings, daughter of the universe, princess of peace, what a beautiful, mystical world we dwell within, what a magical place to be’.

She rose to her feet, her long golden hair shone in the moonlight, her long white gown ruffled around her ankles as she stood. ‘Come to me, son of Pegasus, gentle unicorn, teach me the secrets of the universe’.

Less than a second had passed, yet she wondered if he had heard her thoughts…’I am coming princess’, his thoughts had interupted her own, she smiled as she watched him wade through the moonlit water and as the water rose and his body submerged into its depths, she felt a little anxious.

‘Worry not my child, this is our first lesson, first test – do we have the faith to take the risk? Will we stand strong together on the same side, or will we give in to the fear and remain apart?’ Before she had time to answer, his body slowly emerged, water flowed off of his form, returning to its source, trickling into the pool as he waded toward her.

‘Lesson number one, daughter of the universe, have faith’.

Name: The Magical Forest

Today we visited the Botanical Gardens at Joondalup, I was transported to another place, long ago.

The sight of the magical forest beyond the green was too inspiring for me to take my time, I quickly crossed the grass and saw to my left one of the many rock pools to be found within. The water lillies danced upon the surface like ballerina’s upon a stage.

A very large goldfish, unafraid of us giants, swam lazily by, his large head came to the surface and I heard him say, ‘tread carefully within this forest, many wonders are hidden here’ and then in a splash he was gone!

We stepped over stepping stones, crossing a stream that flowed from another pool – fed by a beautiful waterfall cascading over large rocks, one of the many we were yet to find. The stream called out ot us ‘follow me’, as she meandered in and out leading us deeper into the magical forrest, bringing us to where other pools and waterfalls echoed her call. We eventually arrived at the biggest pool, a beautiful place surrounded by grass and garden beds. A fountain in the middle of the pool, spurting white water, looked just like a rearing unicorn, its white body gleaming in the sunlight, dazzling onlookers.

Within the forest, elves played hide and seek among the ferns and vines. Fairies flew high and low, sometimes coming so close we thought they were flies and shooed them away.

Native violets blanketed beds and nodding granny’s bonnets stood guard, so no flat footed humans would squash the delicate blooms.
Secret garden rooms each surrounded by corridors of trees, hiding their treasures, to be found by all who would take the time to see.

Vines creeped over the earth and climbed tall trees, producing shade and a cool covering of dappled light, so the fairies, elves and magical creatures could play hidden from prying eyes. Dwarfs (or were they children) ran past, laughing, enjoying their new found freedom within the forest. Two swordsmen were fighting, their gleaming swords made from the silver coloured branches of the white gum tree.

We walked on, eager to discover more, only to find that Prince Charming and his groomsmen were awaiting the bride Princess, his subjects and townspeople were waiting too – a celebration was soon to be in order. Two lives joined together in a Magical Forest. What a wonderful dream, what a wonderful beginning to my day and their life.

We had to leave this Magical Forest but its magic will never leave me.

World of the Sea Shell.

The smooth, silkiness of the mother of pearl surroundings envelope me in a sense of luxury. The perfect temperatures, the reflected light and colours hints at wonders yet to be explored.I am happy in my little Sea Shell home. This is my little world – a perfect world for me.

I am what is called a Sea Fairy, I live in a Sea Shell, I have no need for food, I never feel hot or cold. My shell is insulated with beautiful, mother of pearl like walls, floors and ceiling. The curl of the shell is my bed, here I huddle and rest, re-energizing myself for the night time romps.

The reflected lights and colours of my shell home illuminate me at night time, it is another wonderous secret yet to be discovered by the humans. So, when the night arrives, I poke my little head out of my shell and look up to the jewelled sky, how beautiful it is!

I carefully step out of my home and stretch my arms and wings wide, oh, that feels good. My bright, shimmering form slowly hovers above my Shell, I hear the call of the waves, I smell the salt air, I take a deep breath and fly to the waters edge. In frantic activity I flap my wings together, this makes a humming noise which attracts my friend.

Dawtreen is my sea horse, he comes to the waters edge and I pat his head as I climb aboard for my ride down into the depths of the ocean. We surf the waves and I laugh with pleasure, how limitless is life as a sea fairy!

We dive, down, down, down into the deep, dark ocean. I feel the waters caress my body, my hair floats around my face, my wings trail behind me like a tail.Far off in the distance I can see the shimmering lights of an underwater city called Atlantis. It’s here we all meet to romp and play upon the ocean bed, but only ’til dusk – for it is too dangerous to travel back during daylight, fish love to gobble up sea fairies and sea horses.

We reach Atlantis and enter into the bustle of waters depths. It seems like all the Sea Fairies and the Sea Horses of the world are here! The illuminating lights from our bodies light up the City and draw others like us through the black ocean depths. Bubbles effervesce around us as we race each other here and there, others watch to see who will win, while others just catch up and chat.

(c)T.Seed 2002.

To be continued…

World of the Sea Shell. part 2.

There are rumours that tonight King Neptune will come into our presence to inform us of a threat to all of us sea creatures. King Neptune is always accompanied by his Merpeople. Mermaids and Mermen closely follow the King to do his bidding, His most loyal subjects and usual messenges to the humans. Tonight is no different, they will accompany Him to discuss the problems we all have to face.

I look around and realise our friends the Jellyfish are enclosing us, the Jellyfish only do this at important times when we are not to be disturbed and intruders are not permitted to enter. The Jellyfish close up every gap around us in the open sea, they have a special power specifically for times like this. As they get close they create electricity that gently hums between them, each strengthening each other incase of attack. They literally become our protective forcefield.

Seadragons huddle together awaiting King Neptunes arrival just incase He has a special job for them to do. They often feel overlooked when it comes to the order of the seacreatures and their given tasks. They wait in anticipation that they too can be a part of whatever great event was about to take place.

Suddenly two electric eels swim into view clash their tails together and create a light beam that stretches deep into the ruins of Atlantis. Firstly, the Merpeople arrive, gracefully swimming around looking for some rocks or ruins to recline upon. Once settled, their eyes turn toward the deep recess now illumined by the lightbeam.

King Neptune’s trident is first seen as He parts the seaweed floating around, then King Neptune in all his glory gallently swims into view. Awestruck by His powerful presence, gasps of delight and amazement echo through the ocean swirl. For many, this is their first sighting of the King. King Neptune chooses His position so he can be seen and heard by all.

He stands and awaits His recognition from His loyal subjects. As if woken from a dream we all suddenly realise we have yet to bow before the King of the Ocean. We pay our respects by bowing in unison, this pleases the King and a smile creeps over His face but quickly dissappears as He announces His message.

‘My loyal subjects, I have come here tonight to announce a very serious matter which we all must play a part in solving. It has come to my attention that the humans are destroying our wonderland, our great Ocean is being polluted to such an extent that if we allow it to continue, we ourselves will sadly perish.

The humans do not mean to do this, it is a result of their ignorance and folly. In their efforts to trade with other countries, or as a result of ignorance they are quickly filling our Ocean with waste and Oil. The fishermens plastic bags, fishing lines, and empty bottles, cans and rubbish kill the seabirds and smother the fish. The Oil spillage destroys millions of Ocean life before they can clean it up.

They do not realise the importance of the Ocean and the life held therein to the world they live in. Something must be done. Come, my subjects, let us work together to help each other survive this chaos’. I am open to suggestions’.

(c)T.Seed 2002.

to be continued…

Sunday, November 24, 2002

Name: World of The Sea Shell. part 3.

We all looked at each other dumbstruck, how could this be? Are we really in that much danger? The telepathic, fearful thoughts could be heard all around us. A graceful Mermaid swam into King Neptunes presence.”My King, I have an idea, could we your Merpeople show ourselves in great numbers and lure these silly humans to their deaths along the great coastal rocklines so we would not have this problem”.

The Kings looked shocked but then he smiled gently as he said, “no my child, that is not the way, we have learnt from times past we must peacefully co-exist with the humans, they on the land and us in the Ocean depths.” The Mermaid swam back to her rock a little embarrased.

A little Sea dragon timidly floated into the Kings presence. “My King, can we not make more contact efforts with the deep sea divers who visit us and tell them to let the other humans know of our plight? “The King replied. “Ah, little seadragon a much better idea! Alas, the humans only fear us, kill us or want to catch us for pets, no this would not work either”. The little seadragon bowed and returned to his group.

I had an idea but I was too scared to enter into the Kings presence. I must ! I chided myself. So, I took a deep breath and swam to float in front of the King. “My King, could us Sea Fairies use our sea shell homes to whisper the message of the Oceans magic to the human children? A haunting but peaceful, serene sound, one which would ignite their imaginations and stir their souls so deeply, they would grow up wanting the Ocean to stay clean and healthy?

“The King smiled, “Yes! Yes, little Seafairy, you have a wonderful idea, one that can be used for the future but we still have the problem of the present, thank you my child”. I was both elated and shocked at the Kings praise and a little embarrased I humbly bowed and swam back to my group. I received pats on the back and praise from them all. I’m sure I must have glowed a little brighter from the feeling of accomplishment I had!

King Neptune raised His trident – a sign that meant we were all to listen. “My loyal subjects, I have the plan, listen closely, this is now a royal command. Merpeople, you shall swim around the oil spills and create the beginning of a whirlpool.I shall open up a hole on the ocean bed, when I raise my trident you shall swim away as fast as you can because soon after that I shall pull the whirlpool and the Oil it contains and cause it to be sucked down into the hole before it can spread and cause any further damage.

After this, I shall cause the hole to be covered over with sand by striking the Ocean bed with my trident, this will create turbulence and cause great waves which will continue the burial process.

Little Sea dragons, you must warn all creatures of the sea to stay away from the area or they too shall be sucked into the void, this is a very important job, one which you can feel proud.

Electric eels, Merpeople and Sea horses, you and the Rays, Whales, Sharks, Seals and Fish must draw all humans, whether divers, fishermen and boats on the seas away from the area, so they are not harmed and in so doing will also save yourselves. If you forget, you do so at your own peril, for we all need each other to balance the world.

Little Sea fairies, you are to make the soothing sounds of the Ocean hum through your Sea Shell homes, so when human children pick them up to listen, their imaginations will be triggered and their souls will be so touched they will love the Ocean with a great passion and will grow up to take care of it. This is how we shall save ourselves, our home and the humans, this is now my law”.

So, ever since those meetings, that’s the way it is. Children listen with awe and wonder to the sound of the sea shell…

Gallahad returned with good news. He knew the way to the Enchantresses Cave. ‘Gather you’re belongings Morgaine, we must make haste’! Morgaine quickly gathered her bags, she climbed upon Gallahad’s back, ‘lead on Gallahad, let us depart’. Awhile later Morgaine was at the cave’s entrance with her bags. Gallahad munched on some grass a little way off.

‘Quite a crowd had already come through’, the Enchantress told Morgaine, ‘it has quietened down now, so you’re Morgaine, the Camelot Scribe, welcome to my cave and the beginning of a wonderful journey! What did you bring? I hope you packed light’.

Morgaine assured the enchantress that her bag was light and its contents are a necessity. ‘ I have my journal, recorder for my interviews with fellow travellers, some clothing, my warm cloak, some food, my hairbrush, some herbs and oils, and some precious stones’.

‘This is good Morgaine, so you plan to interview fellow travellers? That sounds interestinng, you will find many interesting stories, I’m sure. So you come from Camelot? ‘

‘Yes and I am considered the Camelot Scribe, the Camelot Correspondent for the Camelot Chronicle. I am on a Crusade, the Camelot Crusade. I wish to learn about other places, people and communities and also to introduce and invite people to Camelot, this is one of the reasons I decided to undertake this journey, I look forward to meeting people, learning about different places and communities and hope to befriend many. I believe that if we all help one another we can all continue to exist in people’s hearts’.

‘Very interesting Morgaine, I’m sure others will share your belief’s and you will find your journey very inspiring, once again, welcome aboard! Now, I must give you this bag, in it you will find some things to help you on your journey, a compass amongst other things and most importantly, a doll’. ‘A doll? Why is a doll the most important thing’? Asked Morgaine. ‘This is no ordinary doll, this doll talks and can help and guide you along the way, you have met and named your talking donkey Gallahad, now this doll is yours to keep and name too. You will find her very wise, with much insight to share’.

Morgaine was taken aback, a telepathic, talking donkey and now a wise, insightful doll! They say Camelot’s ways are weird, she thought to herself. What is this magic? I must learn them so I can teach them back home to those who believe. The more wonder, enchantment, magic, old and new ways introduced to humans, the more they will seek their own truth and belief and the world will be a better place.

The Enchantress interrupted her thoughts saying, ‘it is time to go now Morgaine. Your first destination is to the Gypsy camp, where they are having a wake for Meagan’s mother. Meagan is a fellow traveller on the Silk Road and it is a time to share, god speed Morgaine’.

With that the Enchantress dissappeared and Morgaine was left alone with the bag. She reached in and pulled out the doll, it was a very pretty doll. She decided to call the doll, Angel. In that instant Morgaine found herself outside the cave with Gallahad. ‘Well Gallahad, it’s time to move on in search of the gypsies’. They departed in silence.
